Prioritisation of Bicycle Infrastructure Proposals

This report, published in 2006, provides a series of parameters which can be used to prioritise bicycle infrastructure projects.

The evaluation of cycling infrastructure projects in Australia is not carried out with the same well established techniques available for road infrastructure. Governments at all levels, which are developing cycling strategies and increasing funding for cycling, understand there are numerous benefits to individuals and the community as a whole when more people cycle. For this reason a robust methodology for prioritising projects effectively and allocating funding is required to ensure the current support for cycling in Australia continues.
