
The objective of the Assets Program is to provide a program of research that will assist road and transport agencies in their efforts to minimise the whole of life cost of road infrastructure assets. The assets strategic research program is targeted to address the priorities identified in the Austroads Strategic Plan.
The role of the assets task force is to develop and deliver a program this program. Key focuses of the program are providing optimal levels of service, catering to road user requirements and monitoring and reporting on performance. As a review panel to promote best practice in asset management through the development and maintenance of the Austroads Guide to Asset Management. The assets task force also incorporates the functions of the assets review panel.
